Founded in 2011 by two Young Global Leaders upon the initiative of Feike Sijbesma (CEO, DSM) and Katrin Ley (director of Fashion for Good). Coen van Oostrom (Young Global Leader, CEO, OVG Real Estate and founder EDGE Technologies) currently fulfills the role of mentor of the Amsterdam hub.

Reduce emissions, reduce waste, promote sustainable consumption, preserve biodiversity, advocate for animal rights. restore nature and more.

Improve Health & Well-Being

Advance youth mental health, work towards health equity, ensure access to health services and respond to pandemics.

Create Inclusive Communities

Support Amsterdam’s most vulnerable communities, advocate for human rights and disrupt harmful stereotypes on gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, homelessness and more.

The Amsterdam group is a diverse crew.

 

The Amsterdam hub includes people from a number of sectors including business (both small and large), the non‐profit sector, government, arts, food, tech, journalism, design and science.

The hub meets for work meetings in Amsterdam every month and apart from that, there are occasions to go out for drinks or other activities. On top of that Shapers organize various activities for a broader audience.
